In a dramatic political escalation, Odisha’s Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra made a sensational statement questioning the future of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and accusing V.K. Pandian of trying to flee the country fearing action.

Patra's candid remarks come amid growing discontent and internal turmoil within the BJD ranks. He stated, “The future of BJD is uncertain. The party is facing a serious leadership crisis. No one has trust left in the leadership of Naveen Patnaik.”

According to Patra, the BJD is no longer functioning under collective leadership and has gone completely out of control. "Pandian Planning Escape, No One Left in Control," he alleged.

In an explosive allegation, Patra claimed that V.K. Pandian, the former IAS officer and Naveen Patnaik’s closest aide, is no longer in command of the party and is allegedly planning to escape from India fearing public backlash and legal action.

“The so-called director of the party, who operated from behind the scenes, is now preparing to flee the country. But Odisha will not allow him to loot the state and run away. Even if no action has been taken today, it will be taken tomorrow. No one will be spared,” he added, indicating that serious legal or political steps might be initiated soon.
