Five die, three critical in two separate road accidents in Odisha

In separate road mishaps, five persons reportedly died while three others were critically injured in Odisha on Saturday.

As per reports, two bikes had a head-on collision near Patraput village under Machhakund police limits in Koraput district on Sunday. Two bikers died on the spot while a pillion rider was critically wounded. 

The deceased were identified as Dhania Khara and Manic Khemundu of Nandapur block while the injured was identified as Rabindra Khara of Lamtaput.

A similar accident was reported from Shankarpur under Ghagarabeda police limits of Mayurbhanj district. Three people who were going on separate bikes died while two others were critically injured. The injured were admitted to Champua hospital in Keonjhar, sources said.

However, the identities of the deceased and the injured were not ascertained till the filing of the report.
