A fire broke out in a women’s hostel in Bhubaneswar’s Satyavihar area on Monday, sparking panic among locals. The incident occurred when a girl student had gone to the temple after lighting a diya in her room.
According to reports, the student had lit a diya and left for a temple visit. While she was away, the fire reportedly spread inside the room. It is said that the diya might have triggered the blaze, although no official confirmation has been issued yet regarding the exact cause.

Locals noticed the fire spreading quickly and raised an alarm. The fire reportedly grew intense and aggressive in a short period, causing panic in the surrounding area. People rushed to alert the Fire Services Department as the seriousness of the situation became apparent.
