Odisha on Monday witnessed two tragic road accidents in Sundargarh and Ganjam districts, claiming the lives of at least four people, who were either returning from or heading to religious processions on the occasion of Pana Sankranti.
In the first incident, three bike-borne youths died late on Monday night after an unidentified vehicle hit them near Marichimunda under Badgaon police limits in Sundargarh district.
The victims, reportedly from Biratula village, were returning home after watching Ram Navami jatra. Police suspect that a truck may have rammed into the bike, causing the fatal accident.
