An electric scooter caught fire, leading to a major fire mishap at a house located along Sundargarh Government College Road reducing four other vehicles and furniture to ashes.
According to sources, the fire reportedly broke out while the electric scooter was being charged. The flames quickly spread, engulfing a motorbike, three other scooters and several other furniture in the house.
Meanwhile, the incident caused panic in the area, with the blaze causing significant damage to properties. However, fortunately, no loss of life is reported due to the mishap.
Though the exact reason behind the fire mishap is now known immediately, it is suspected that a short circuit during the charging process might have triggered the flames.

Further investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the fire and assess the total damage caused by the incident.
This is not the very first time when an electric scooter caught fire. In recent years, several incidents of electric scooter fires have raised serious safety concerns among the buyer.
