East Coast Railway cancels 85 pairs of trains due to ongoing maintenance work

Due to the ongoing major infrastructure and safety-related works at various stations under the East Coast Railway (EcoR), as many as 85 pairs of trains have been cancelled.  

As per the ECoR, safety and infrastructural-related development works are underway at Haridaspur, Bhubaneswar, Mancheswar, Sambalpur and Sambalpur City Railway Stations. It started on August 12 and will continue till August 30. 

Therefore, several trains have been cancelled, short-terminated and diverted till August 30.

Because of the cancellation of the trains, passengers are facing considerable inconvenience. Since many passengers were not aware of the cancellation of trains, they were seen coming to the railway stations only to find their trains being cancelled. 

The few trains that are running are found to be overcrowded and running late.
