Almost everybody must have seen doctors treating patients wearing a mask, gloves and carrying a stethoscope. But have you seen any doctor treating patients wearing a helmet? Well, it is not due to any superstition but rather the doctor is forced to do so over poor infrastructure and fearing life.
The incident has been reported from Dhandamunda village under Khaprakhol block in Bolangir district. As per reports, the concrete plaster from the ceiling is repeatedly falling off, thereby sparking fears in the minds of the employees at the health centre.
It is being said that the centre was set up some five years back and the concrete chunk is now being peeled off due to sub-standard construction work.
Not only employees and doctors, but patients are also coming to the health centre risking their lives. Meanwhile, the concerned authorities could not be contacted over the matter.
