Popular DJ Azex aka Akshay Kumar died due to asphyxiation, revealed the artist’s post-mortem report on Tuesday.
According to sources, the autopsy report also mentions that the popular DJ has some ligature marks.
“As per the report, DJ Azex committed suicide and that is ante-mortem in nature. The report also mentions that he has some ligature marks. However, the circumstantial evidence can prove whether it is an abetment to suicide,” said Dr Laxmidhar Sahoo, director of Capital Hospital.
“According to police, there is nothing suspicious in the viscera of the artist. Still, sample has been sent for further examination,” Dr Sahoo added.
Notably, DJ Azex, one of the most prominent DJs in the country, was reportedly found dead under mysterious circumstances in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
As per the family members of DJ Azex, there was a power cut during a thunderstorm on Saturday and Azex was inside his room. When they went to call him at around 10 pm, they found his door closed. Later, they found his body hanging after they broke open the door.
Meanwhile, family members of Azex alleged murder and accused his girlfriend and her friend to be the main conspirators behind the incident.
The Kharavela Nagar Police on Monday registered a case under Section 306 (abetment to suicide) in connection with the case.
