A rebellion has surfaced within the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) following the announcement of the new student president.
Several student leaders reportedly gathered in Bhubaneswar on Friday to voice their dissent against the development, alleging that the selection process was one-sided.
According to sources, multiple leaders within the party have united against the newly appointed student president, accusing the leadership of favoring the 'Pandian coterie group'.
The discontent has led to a collective show of protest by senior figures in the BJD student organization in the state capital.
So far, the BJD has not issued any official response to the controversy.
