Odisha CM Mohan Majhi
In a significant development for public healthcare facilities in Odisha, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Sunday announced plans to establish a trauma care centre at Dharanidhar Medical College and Hospital in Odisha's Keonjhar soon.
According to CM Majhi, the state government is planning to make the medical college and hospital a complete healthcare facility. He also assured that all the problems in the hospital will be resolved soon.
CM Majhi, who arrived in Keonjhar by road late last night, prioritised the evaluation of the hospital infrastructure upon his visit. This morning, he attended the 74th annual gathering of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) state branch.
CM Majhi honoured the legacy of Dharanidhar by adorning his statue with a garland. While addressing the gathering, he expressed his appreciation to the attending doctors and healthcare workers at the conference, acknowledging their substantial contributions. He reiterated the government’s unwavering support for healthcare improvements across the state.

“I attended the 74th annual gathering of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) state branch today. I encouraged IMA for its service to the people. I have assured to resolve all the problems of Dharanidhar Medical College and Hospital. I have also assured to set up a trauma care centre at the hospital. The conference will encourage us to expedite the work,” said CM Majhi.
