Apprehending a threat to her life, Adrija Manjari, wife of Arkesh Narayan Singh Deo and daughter-in-law of BJD leader Ananga Udaya Singh Deo, on Saturday reached Bolangir police station and sought police protection during the time when she enters the palace.

However, she has alleged the police are not cooperating.

Adrija is presently in Bolangir town to take her belongings from the palace.

“I am here to take my belongings from the palace. When I went to the palace I found the gate locked and I was not allowed to enter. As my life is under threat I seek police help to enter the palace. I have even written an application to the police saying I want to go into the palace and take my belongings for which I seek protection. But I am yet to get any assurance from the police,” alleged Adrija.

“Instead of providing protection to me, they are putting up excuses. I met the SP who said as per the protocol the investigating officer (IO) of Dehradun police station should come here and then something can be done after discussion which I can’t understand,” she added.

However, no comments could be obtained from the police, Arkesh Narayan Singh Deo or his family members in this connection.

Notably, Adrija had lodged a domestic violence case against her husband Arkesh Narayan Singh Deo, father-in-law Ananga Udaya Singh Deo, mother-in-law Bijaylaxmi Devi, brother-in-law (her husband’s elder brother) Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo and sister-in-law (wife of her husband’s elder brother) Meghana Rana at Dehradun’s Rajpur police station.

It is worth mentioning that, Adrija is the granddaughter of former Prime Minister Vishwanath Pratap Singh.
