Deadline for self-assessment extended for Group A and B employees in Odisha

The Odisha government extends deadlines for e-PARs submission and review for Group A and B employees, with final submissions due by December 31, 2025.

In a move to streamline the performance evaluation process, the Odisha government has extended the deadlines for online submission and review of electronic Performance Appraisal Reports (e-PARs) for Group A and B employees for the 2024–25 assessment year.

In a notification issued today, the General Administration and Public Grievance Department issued a directive notifying all administrative departments of the revised schedule for completing the appraisal process on the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) portal.

The changes come in light of "unavoidable circumstances" and are applicable only as a one-time relaxation for the current appraisal cycle.

As per the updated timeline:

  • Self-appraisal submission by employees: Remains unchanged as of May 31, 2025

  • Evaluation by Reporting Authority: Extended from July 31 to August 31, 2025

  • Review by Reviewing Authority: Pushed from September 30 to October 31, 2025

  • Remarks by Accepting Authority: Deadline remains December 31, 2025

The department urged all concerned officials not to delay till the final date, warning that last-minute submissions could lead to server congestion and technical difficulties.

Strict Cut-off Beyond December 31

Despite the relaxed intermediate deadlines, the department has made it clear that no appraisals or remarks will be accepted beyond December 31, 2025, under clause 11(e) of the official Performance Appraisal Report (PAR) guidelines (Memo No. 1199/PRO dated April 26, 2006).

All Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Heads of Departments have been directed to widely disseminate the revised dates within their departments.
