The Vigilance Department officials on Saturday carried out searches on the properties linked to Sitaram Patro, Chhatrapur Block Education Officer (BEO) in Ganjam district.

The raids are being conducted over allegations of possession of disproportionate assets by the BEO. Simultaneous searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance at six places in Ganjam district.

Senior officials informed that five DSPs, four Inspectors, five SI/ASIs and other supporting staff are carrying out the raids and searches based on search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur.
