On stretched landfall process, Mohanty informed that landfall process of severe cyclonic storm usually takes 5 to 6 hours. However, severe cyclonic storm Dana took over 8 to 9 hours due to the presence of an anti-cyclonic circulation that prevailed in the east and west as well.
