CM Mohan Majhi has declared a significant political victory over his adversaries, whom he called political ‘Ravanas’ in Jajpur district. Addressing attendees at the Dharmasala Mahotsav, CM Majhi credited the local populace for overturning the established political ‘Ravanas’ and making Jajpur free from Ravana rule.
Although he did not name anyone, it is evident that he was hinting at BJD and the previous government. This statement was made during his Friday evening speech at the Dharmasala Mahotsav. Certain politicians had considered themselves unbeatable in the region. However, the CM said the local populace has proved their hubris unfounded by voting them out.
“I want to thank all of you for shattering their arrogance and pride. Some of them thought that they were invincible and could never be defeated in this district because they won by 80-90,000 votes. But, it is rightly said pride goes for a fall,” the CM said.
He likened these political figures to 'political Ravanas', referencing the mythological character from Hindu epics who embody arrogance and tyranny.
“The reign of political Ravanas has come to an end in Jajpur. I thank each one of you for bringing an end to the rule of Ravana and making Jajpur free from Ravana rule,” he further added.
“For this landmark achievement, all of you deserve gratitude,” the Chief Minister said while expressing gratitude to the Jajpur residents for their role in this political shift.
The Chief Minister highlighted that this transformation marks a notable achievement for local democracy, demonstrating the public's power in restoring accountability. CM Majhi also emphasised the importance of continued vigilance and engagement, urging the citizens of Jajpur to remain proactive in safeguarding their newly established political landscape.
