Caught on cam: Railway staff 'supplying' liquor to passengers on Dhanbad-Alappuzha Express
Three coach attendants were allegedly found serving liquor to passengers onboard the Dhanbad-Alappuzha Express train. Openly flouting Railway norms, the three coach attendants allegedly supplied Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) brands to the passengers.
Caught on camera, the trio was purportedly carrying the liquor bottles inside their pockets and making pegs for the passengers. As per claims, they charged triple the original price of the liquor.
In the video, they can be seen serving liquor of several brands inside the train with no care for the Railway rules, a regional news channel’s sting operation revealed.
Despite strict rules against liquor inside trains, the Railway personnel allegedly bought liquor bottles and sold them openly to passengers, mostly inside AC bogies.
No comments could be obtained from the concerned Indian Railways authorities in this connection.
