BSF finds IED during anti-Maoist operation in Kandhamal

As per reports, the dog squad of the security force found the IED during a combing operation in the jungle. Following that, a bomb squad was called in who defused the explosive carefully.

The jawans of the Border Security Force (BSF) defused an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) during a combing operation in Taksipadar forest under Kandhamal’s Phiringia police limits on Friday.

The combing was being done under the anti-Maoist operation in the Kandhamal district.

As per reports, the dog squad of the security force found the IED during a combing operation in the jungle. Following that, a bomb squad was called in who defused the explosive carefully.

The IED was assembled using a 2-litre steel tiffin box, 50 gm gelatin sticks, a six volt battery, adhesive tapes, and 20 metres of flexible wire.

The IED was planted targeting the BSF jawans.
