The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, on Friday declared that the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2024 exam will be held on January 17, 2025.
The OSSTET exam for both Paper-I & II candidates will be held on January 17, 2025, in two sittings.
The 1st sitting will be for the Paper-I examination and will start at 10.00 am and end at 12.30 pm. Meanwhile, 2nd sitting will be for the Paper-II examination and will start at 02.00 pm and end at 04.30 pm.

The official notification released by the BSE also detailed that admit cards will be available on its official website starting from January 8, 2025.
OSSTET 2024 Exam Pattern
The OSSTET exam pattern consists of 2 papers for different categories of candidates. While Paper-I is for the posts of Teachers of Science – PCM/ CBZ, Arts, Hindi, Classical– Urdu/Telugu/Sanskrit, Paper-II is for Physical Education teachers. Each paper has 150 questions and carries a total of 150 marks.
All the questions are of objective type and have no negative markings. Also, the qualifying marks for the exam are 45% for General candidates and 35% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC candidates.
Notably, the application process for the OSSTET exam had begun on 19th November and remained open until 1st December, giving candidates approximately two weeks to complete their registrations.
The OSSTET is a key examination for eligibility to work as a teacher in government schools across the state and is a crucial opportunity for aspiring teachers in Odisha who wish to pursue a career in secondary education.
