Brain-dead Odisha man gives new lease of life to four people through organ donation

In the process history was created in Odisha as five organs of a person was donated after his death for the first time.

A new chapter was added in the glory of Odisha’s health sector as five organs of a 43-year-old man from the State, who was declared brain dead, were donated to four patients in different hospitals across the country giving them a new lease of life.

Though Prasannajit Mohanty from the Rental Colony area in Bhubaneswar left his earthly abode, his family members gave a strong message to society by donating five of his important organs. In the process, history was created in Odisha as five organs of a person were donated after his death for the first time.
