Body of Odisha youth killed in Dubai reaches Bhubaneswar

The mortal remains of Rajesh Kumar Parida, a resident of Kanphulia village under Rajnagar block in Kendrapara, were brought back home from Dubai after the intervention of BJP National Vice-President and local MP Baijayant Panda.

According to sources, Rajesh, son of Dibakar Parida, had been working in Dubai for the past two years. He went missing on July 8, leaving his family in deep distress.
Seeking help, his family reached out to MP Panda, who promptly intervened by coordinating with the Indian Embassy in Dubai. Following his efforts, Rajesh’s death was confirmed.

Arrangements were then made to bring Rajesh’s body back to India. On Friday, his mortal remains arrived at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar from Dubai, after which his family took him home for the final rites.

“Rajesh went missing on March 8. Finding no other options, we reached out to Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda over the matter. We thank him for acting swiftly and bringing back the body of my nephew to Odisha,” said Bailochan Rout, a relative of the deceased.

“We had requested Baijayant Bhai (the MP) to make necessary arrangements to bring back the body from Dubai and he has kept his promise,” said Lalit Behera, a resident of Rajnagar.
