Black marketing of India-England Cuttack ODI match ticket caught on cam! 7 persons arrested
In a major crackdown against match ticket black marketing for the upcoming cricket showdown at Barabati Stadium, Commissionerate Police-Cuttack arrested seven persons on Friday.
This operation came after four distinct cases were filed, setting off a thorough probe into illicit ticket transactions.

According to police sources, they seized 25 tickets alongside Rs 30,000 in cash during the enforcement drive. Three persons were apprehended in the Dargah Bazaar locality, while Cantonment Police also arrested a group of another four.
Footage obtained by OTV shows women peddling tickets unlawfully outside the stadium’s 7th Gallery, demanding a steep Rs 5,000 per entry. The video features a negotiation attempt where a buyer proposes Rs 4,000, only to be rebuffed with an adamant price of Rs 5,000.
Police have registered two separate cases in this connection and launched a probe.
Cricket enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the India versus England One-Day International (ODI) match slated for February 9 (Sunday) at Barabati Stadium.

On Wednesday, a stampede-like situation was witnessed outside the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack as a huge number of enthusiastic cricket fans gathered to buy off-line tickets from the counters for the upcoming India vs. England match.
The widespread chaos was attributed to poor exit management that resulted in crowd control issues. Moreover, eyebrows were raised over a large number of elderly women having little knowledge about cricket waiting in long queues for hours to buy tickets.
