Once again 5T Secretary is under fire from the Opposition in Odisha. This time the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday questioned why the Odisha Chief Secretary is not replying to the letter issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoP&T).

Addressing a presser, state BJP Spokesperson Satyabrata Panda stated that Chief Secretary’s absolute silence on the matter indicates that the entire administration has been crippled in Odisha.

Panda further alleged that the way the senior BJD leaders are now coming in defence of the 5T Secretary is very unfortunate.

“The 5T Secretary is visiting different places in the state and weaving stories of fake development. It has been seen that that 5T Secretary is meeting corrupt government employees and sharing dais with murder accused. Is such kind of system in Odisha is indicating that elected representatives, who have won on BJD tickets, have become incapable,” questioned Panda.

Panda further questioned whether the role of MLAs, Minister has been decreased in governance.

“Even absolute silence has some voice. The people of Odisha are getting a message from Chief Secretary’s absolute silence that the administration here is now crippled,” Panda added.

Responding to BJP’s allegations, senior BJD leader Debi Prasad Mishra said, “During elections, the opposition makes several non-issues, an issue and we are not worried about it. We are working with one goal of the development under the leadership of the Chief Minister.”
