National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and party’s Lok Sabha candidate for Kendrapara, Baijayant Panda went through a critical surgery on his left eye on Friday.
Reportedly, if he hadn't gotten the surgery today, he would have lost the vision in his eye.
For the last several days, Panda had been campaigning in various parts of his Parliamentary constituency.
Following the surgery, the BJP Kendrapara LS candidate won't be able to take part in the campaign of the party for the 2024 elections. He has been under medical observation for some days. This was stated by the office of the BJP stalwart on Friday.
The BJP leader recently held a massive roadshow at Rajkanika. Thousands of party workers and frontline BJP leaders took part in the roadshow which started from Neulagadia.
