A recent faceoff between BJP MP Rabi Narayan Behera and BJD MLA Sujata Sahoo during Local Self Government Day celebration has heated up the political atmosphere in Jajpur.
While addressing a gathering during the celebration, BJD MLA Sahoo launched a scathing attack on the BJP government and said, “The government and the Opposition cannot see who is behind the development of Jajpur. We can only see everything clearly if we wear clean spectacles. If we wear a black one, everything will look black.”
“Those who are spreading the bad words are just under the influence of black spectacles. However, they cannot defer from the fact that there is a lot of development in Jajpur if they ask it to their hearts. The district has been developed by former MLA Bobby Das,” Sahoo said.
Reacting to Sahoo’s jibe, BJP MP Behera said, “There is technology, there is transparency. Automation technology has also taken over. No one is denying the development in Jajpur. However, Jajpur has also emerged as the hotspot of irregularities in the State.”
“Neither black glass nor white glass is required to eliminate the irregularities. We need to work collectively towards this following which everything will be crystal clear,” Behera added.

Meanwhile, questions are now being raised about whether the BJD MLA targeted some of her own party members by saying that the Opposition is wearing black specs.
