The state unit of the BJP and Opposition party BJD have come face to face over Naveen Patnaik’s social media post on his party’s Jana Jagaran Abhiyan.
In an X post on Aug 12, Naveen said BJD will launch a Jana Jagaran Abhiyan in every panchayat from August 16 to create awareness among the people about how the BJP has failed to deliver on its promises made in its election manifesto.
This post has had both parties confronting each other.
Refuting Patnaik’s allegation, BJP said they are fulfilling all the promises made in the manifesto.

“People are no longer in the dark. Because they are aware of them, they voted them out of power. There is no need of Jana Jagaran Abhiyan. They are taking it out to create awareness among their workers. They are launching this to keep the workers united for the coming election. But the workers know well that the party has had its day and nothing better would happen to it so they are leaving it. Our government is keeping its promises,” said Ashok Mohanty, BJP MLA.
Responding to Mohanty’s statement, BJD MLA Ashwini Patra said, “For any political party, it is an unending process to strengthen its organisation and to encourage its workers. It is the party’s own programme.”
