After facing a debacle in the last concluded Assembly elections, the fissure within the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is widening with party leaders firing salvos against each other. Joining the league, senior party leader Bhupinder Singh launched a veiled attack on Sunday.
Speaking to media, Singh said, “In a football match, while the forwards score three goals, but the goalkeepers play in the sleeper cell, then there is no point in scoring goals as the defeat is certain.”
“Every political party is trying to get its team ready for future competition. Many teams want to fetch good players to their side and it is the same in politics as well,” Singh added.
No comments from BJD could be obtained over Singh’s remark.
Earlier, Amar Satpathy, Prasanna Patasani and several other BJD leaders have targeted the conch party following the poll debacle.
