Hrushikesh Bhoi, who is best known for portraying the role of King Kansa in the Baragarh Dhanu Yatra, has been suspended from the post of a hearse driver on charges of demanding money.
Bargarh Chief District Medical Officer Dr Nirupama Sarangi took disciplinary action against Bhoi.
As per reports, Bhoi, who worked as a government hearse driver at Bargarh District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), was called to transport the body of a deceased from Bargarh DHH to Bahala village under Gaisilet block.

Upon reaching the village, he demanded Rs 3000 from the deceased’s family members. The next day, the aggrieved family took the matter up with the district Collector. Acting on the complaint, permission was sought from the district Collector to form a team to probe the allegations.
As Bhoi was found guilty in the investigation, the CDMO suspended him.
No reactions were received from Bhoi.
