Truth has prevailed, said an elated Bharati Singh on Wednesday after she got her job back. Bharati Singh, a bank mitra and member of Self Help Group (SHG) from Khunta block in Mayurbhanj district was earlier suspended for speaking against 5T secretary VK Pandian and the governance system in Odisha during a rally in Bhubaneswar.
In a letter, the BLF has directed Singh to rejoin her job. A fearless Bharati thanked the people of Odisha and OTV, Odisha’s leading New channel for standing by her and supporting her.
“The truth has prevailed and I wholeheartedly thank OTV and the people of the state who stood by me,” said a proud Bharati for being fearless and not bowing down to pressure.
“While the authorities alleged that my conduct and work was not satisfactory, they had suspended me for other reasons. But, now they have understood their mistake and changed their decision of suspending me,” she added.
“So, I thank OTV and Odisha Reporter for showing my truth due to which I received immense love and support from all through Facebook, and Instagram. Everyone stood by me and the truth has finally prevailed,” she further stated.
Worth mentioning, a video of Bharati lashing out at VK Pandian and Odisha’s governance system during a rally in Bhubaneswar had earlier gone viral.
In the viral video, Bharati was heard saying, “5T Secretary is only boasting about the Scooter scheme and Mo Ghara Yojana. We are getting a meager Rs 6500 monthly salary. Shall we repay the scooter loan or look after our family?”
“The 5T Secretary had announced that our salary would be hiked soon. But what happened to his promise? What is the need to spend so much on the 5T Secretary’s visit? The money could have been used for the development of SSG women groups, poor, and other developmental works,” she had stated.
