Assessment measuring the total area occupied by Baikuntha Dham Ashram in Bhubaneswar
Acting on the allegation of encroachment of government land, the General Administration (GA) Department of Odisha government found that Baikuntha Dham Ashram near Khandagiri area in Bhubaneswar has been built on government land.
The ashram has recently landed in controversy for reportedly projecting a boy as ‘Kalki Avatar’ and disrespecting the holy Tulsi.
Officials from the GA Department reportedly visited the site to ascertain if there has been any encroachment of government land. The enforcement squad of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) also accompanied the team and carried out a preliminary assessment measuring the total area occupied by the ashram.
After carrying out a preliminary assessment measuring the total area occupied by the ashram, the Additional Director of the Department made it clear that the ashram has been built on government land.

“The ashram is located on plot numbers 9037 and 9038 in Ghatikia over an area of 0.140 acre. On verification, it was found to be government land,” said an official.
“A report in this regard has been provided to the government. Necessary action over the matter will be taken accordingly after necessary instruction from the government,” he added.
Notably, a voluntary organisation had filed a complaint against the head of the ashram at Bharatpur police station alleging that the latter was portraying his son as a divine figure and asking people to worship him as ‘Kalki Bhagwan’.
Besides, a host of allegations were brought against the boy who was projected as ‘Kalki Avatar’, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. A woman named Tanvi also accused him of spending extravagantly while accompanying young women.
