Asst BDO’s body found near rail track in Odisha; kin cry foul play
The assistant block development officer (ABDO) of Harichandanpur block in Keonjhar, Bidhubhusan Jena, was found dead near the railway track on Monday.
As per reports, some local people spotted the body of the ABDO with injury marks and informed the local police and the local railway authorities.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.
However, the reason behind his death was not clear immediately.
The GRP started an investigation into the matter.
On the other hand, the kin of the deceased suspected foul play and alleged that Bidhubhusan had been murdered. They demanded an impartial probe into the incident.
The Harichandanpur BDO said that the mutilated body was found along the rail track. “The government railway police (GRP), local police and tehsildar visited the spot. The body was taken for post-mortem. Police are looking into the matter,” he added.
The BDO denied any work pressure on the deceased.
