Odisha Assault Case: 7 accused granted bail 4 hours after arrest in 'custodial torture’ on Army Major, fiancee

The seven accused arrested by Chandaka Police for allegedly assaulting an Indian Army officer's fiancée on Chandaka Road, Bhubaneswar, were granted bail by the Bhubaneswar JMFC court just four hours after their arrest.

The seven accused, who were arrested by the Chandaka Police in Bhubaneswar in connection with the alleged assault on the Indian Army officer's fiancée on Chandaka Road, were granted bail just hours after their arrest.

As per sources, the accused were granted bail by the Bhubaneswar JMFC court just four hours after their arrest. 

Earlier in the day, Chandaka Police arrested the accused for the road rage and assault incident involving the Army Major and his fiancée in Bhubaneswar on the night of September 15.

As many as 11 mobile phones and a vehicle were also seized, informed Additional DCP, Krushna Prasad Das.

While being taken to court after their arrest, the accused had refuted charges of assault and said that they did not attack anyone.
