Actor-turned-politician Anubhav Mohanty and his estranged wife and actress Varsha Priyadarshini on Monday appeared before the SDJM court in Cuttack.
According to a source, the estranged couple is scheduled to meet together for a mutual understanding today. At the same time, there will be a counseling session in the domestic violence case registered against the actor.
It is worth mentioning here that the family court, Cuttack, on September 22 rejected the divorce petition filed by the parliamentarian. The court also dismissed his estranged wife Varsha Priyadarshini’s petition seeking restitution of her conjugal rights.
The actor-turned-politician had filed a petition seeking a divorce from his wife Varsha Priyadarshini. On the other hand, his wife had filed a petition seeking restitution of her conjugal rights under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act. While hearing the matter, the family court in Cuttack dismissed both the petitions.
Earlier on his birthday (December 24, 2022), the actor released a video on his Facebook account where he said he would celebrate his birthday on the divorce day.
“On my divorce day, I will celebrate my birthday. My real birthday will be celebrated on the divorce day. I will get a new birth and new lease of life on that day,” he had stated.
