In a major crackdown, Odisha Vigilance officials have unearthed massive amount of disproportionate assets belonging to Sushil Kumar Panda, the Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Ganjam block on Saturday.
As per reports, during simultaneous raids conducted at multiple locations linked to Panda, Vigilance officials discovered property and assets that allegedly far exceed his known sources of income.
Preliminary findings from the raids have left the officials stunned — a multi-storied building at Ramahari Nagar in Berhampur spread across 4,600 square feet, two luxurious flats in Mukteswar Apartment at Ankuli, and an one-BHK flat in Puri were among the key discoveries. Additionally, six high-value plots located in Bhubaneswar, Khordha, and Berhampur have also been traced to him.
Vigilance officials also seized Rs 2 lakh in cash, luxury vehicles, and bank deposits under his name. The ongoing search operations suggest that more hidden assets may come to light as investigations progress.

The raids were conducted simultaneously at Panda’s office, residence and his relatives’ houses in Ganjam and Puri as part of an ongoing inquiry into allegations of amassing disproportionate assets. The raids were carried out by a team of six Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), seven Inspectors, and other supporting staff.
The Vigilance Department continues to assess the total valuation of the unearthed properties as part of its broader investigation.
