The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday launched a broadside against BJP’s Satyabadi MLA Om Prakash Mishra over a video clip going viral on social media.
Addressing a press conference, Sanjeeb Mohanty, convener, of AAP, said, “The viral video featuring BJP’s Satyabadi MLA has raised suspicions if the BJP MLAs are giving due respect to women. A similar video had gone viral before the elections and then he had said the woman in the video was his relative. In the recent video, no one from any common family would behave with a relative like the way he is seen behaving with her.”
"Most importantly, he is the MLA from Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Pardia’s area. Will she say something about the video or choose to keep mum. We demand the MLA come out with clarification on the video," he added.

When contacted, MLA Mishra said it was the handiwork of some BJD workers.
“Some BJD friends had made similar attempts before the elections to tarnish my image. And in the elections, they suffered the consequences. In the coming days, they will experience the same result. In politics, leaders from the Opposition party indulge in such activities. I would like to tell them that they should instead focus on strengthening their party,” said Mishra.
No reactions were received from the BJD over Mishra’s accusation.
