Remembering and naming all the alphabets, animals and numbers can be a tough affair for most nursery kids. However, a 3-year-old from Odisha’s Baliguda in Kandhamal district has been blessed with a sharp memory for which he has now entered the India Book of Records 2024.
Meet Gokul Pokhraj Padhy who can easily name the capitals, general knowledge questions, historical places, computers and others which can be hard for children of his age to remember. Be it the name of India’s capital or national sports or animals, Gokul can easily answer such questions very easily. Similarly, important historical heritage sites, good habits, organs of body and others, the wonder kid has mesmerised everybody with his unique talent.

33 parts of body, 12 festivals, 23 vehicles, 19 parts of computer, 17 domestic animals, 16 aquatic animals, 16 historical monuments, 16 professionals, 6 seasons, 7 religions, 8 good habits, 6 nursery rhymes, letters of English alphabets with 26 associated words, 15 GK questions at the age of 3 years and 3 months.
Gokul’s father Shiv Prasad Padhy said, “Me and my wife are both government servants, we try to give as much time to him despite our busy schedule. It is only his mother who has been preparing him. My son wants to become a doctor.”
Gokul’s mother Minati Swain said, “I am very proud of my son. All this started when my son started to repeat the mantras which I used to chant during prayers. I realised that my son had a good memory and started to use it in academics. I tried to show things and my son remembered all things. Then we applied for the Record Book and he was preparing for last one year.”
