A three-year-old boy, who had been missing for five days, was eventually found in an unconscious state in the Rengalbeda forest under Rugudi police station in Keonjhar district on Tuesday.

According to reports, the child of Subash Munda from the Rugudi area had gone missing while playing outside his house on August 21. Despite extensive searches by the family members, he could not be found, leading them to lodge a written complaint at Rugudi police station.

Subsequently, some villagers who had gone to the forest to collect minor forest produce spotted the child and rescued him today. The boy was found with several injury marks resembling blisters on different parts of his body. He was immediately rushed to Tata Hospital in Joda for treatment.

While the exact circumstances behind the child’s disappearance remain unclear, police have launched an investigation into the matter. Doctors have confirmed that the child’s condition is now stable.

"The child went missing while playing. We searched for him at several places. When we didn't find him. We lodged an FIR at the police station. Some villagers who had gone to the forest eventually spotted the child and rescued him," said the child's father, Subash Munda.
