21 students of this Odisha School are in Indian Armed Forces; visit school on Teachers' Day

It was some 30 years ago that the trend of joining the Armed Forces began and so far 21 students, who passed out from the school, have joined the armed forces - Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force.

It is said that teachers play a crucial role in shaping a child’s future along with their respective parents. There is a school in Odisha’s Khallikote from where 21 students have now joined the Defence Forces and serving the country. On Teachers' Day, 11 of them planned a special event at Manikpur Government High School to pay respect to the teachers of the school who were instrumental in infusing a sense of discipline and dedication.

The Manikpur Government High School was established in the year 1939. It was some 30 years ago that the trend of joining the Armed Forces began and so far 21 students, who passed out from the school, have joined the armed forces - Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force.
