2 dead in serial road accident on National Highway near Jajpur

Two persons lost their lives and two others were seriously injured in a serial accident involving three vehicles on NH-16. The incident was reported from near Mulapal under Jajpur district on Monday.

As per reports, a speeding truck first hit a dumper from behind which hit a broken-down camper near Mulapal.

The deceased have been identified as Umesh Jena from Balichandrapur and Biswaranjan Guin, a mechanic from Gopalpur under Kuakhia police limits.

Two other injured persons were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.

The driver of the truck is detained by the police for questioning.
