'Debt-ridden’ farmer ends life by consuming poison in Odisha 

Santosh borrowed money from others for the crops. His family members alleged that since the paddy and green grams were damaged in pest attacks, he was in mental agony. Paying off the loans was something he was always worried about, his kin claimed.

A ‘debt-ridden’ farmer reportedly ended his life by consuming poison over alleged crop loss in Bolangir on Monday.

As per reports, Santosh Jena, a farmer of Mudalsar under Larambha Police limits grew paddy and pulses on four acres of land.
