Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended his greetings to doctors on the occasion of National Doctors' Day, describing them as true protectors of health and pillars of humanity.
In a post shared on X, the Prime Minister said, “Our doctors have made a mark for their dexterity and diligence.”
He further added, “Equally notable is their spirit of compassion. They are truly protectors of health and pillars of humanity. Their contribution in strengthening India's healthcare infrastructure is indeed exceptional.”
National Doctors' Day is observed to commemorate the contribution of doctors to society. The day also marks the birth anniversary of renowned physician Bidhan Chandra Roy, who also served as the chief minister of West Bengal, as reported by PTI.
