Odisha reports highest decline in Infant Mortality Rate in country during 2005-2020

With the decline of 39 points in Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) between 2005 and 2020, Odisha tops in the decline point list in the entire country, officials have said.

This was reported in the Sample Registration System (SRS) bulletin 2020 published by the Registrar General of India. Odisha is followed by Rajasthan, which has reported a decline of 36 points in IMR and Uttar Pradesh (35 points) during the period.
