Liquor Policy Scam: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal sent to 14-day judicial custody

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has been placed in 14-day judicial custody till July 12 in connection with the liquor policy corruption case. The CBI previously detained him for questioning. His plea challenging the interim stay on his bail was withdrawn, with a fresh plea to be moved.

A city court on Saturday sent Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to 14-day judicial custody (till July 12) in connection with the corruption case linked to the liquor policy case. 

Earlier in the day, vacation judge Sunena Sharma while reserving its order on CBI’s application, remarked that upon the expiry of police remand, the court has no option but to send the accused to judicial custody.
