Avaada Group announced a strategic partnership with Casale on Friday to build India’s largest green ammonia plant in Odisha’s Gopalpur.

With a production capacity of 1,500 tonnes per day, this project marks a significant step forward in Avaada’s commitment to decarbonisation, innovation, and sustainable industrial growth, reinforcing its role in advancing India’s clean energy transition.

Under this collaboration, Avaada, a leader in India’s renewable energy sector, will join forces with Casale, a global leader in ammonia technology, to develop the plant.

The Gopalpur facility will run entirely on renewable energy and use Casale’s cutting-edge ammonia production technology, ensuring a carbon-neutral production process. Casale will provide the green ammonia process license, basic engineering, proprietary equipment, and engineering reviews to help create a state-of-the-art facility that aligns with India’s ambitious net-zero goals.

Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group, said, "This green ammonia plant reflects our vision of creating a carbon-free future while driving India's green energy revolution. Collaborating with Casale enables us to leverage world-class expertise to deliver a facility that is both innovative and transformative".
