BJP National Vice-President Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda on Friday came down heavily on those opposing ‘The Kerala Story’ film despite the fact that the movie is clearly not against any particular religion.
Taking to Twitter, Panda asked, “Why is The Kerala Story being resisted by a desperate old ecosystem? Are they worried about the shocking exposé it promises?”
The BJP VP further said that the fake secularism of the protestors has already been demolished by the Kerala High Court and while hearing a petition challenging the release of the film, Justice N Nagaresh said, “There are many movies in which Hindu sanyasis are depicted as smugglers. No one says anything. What is there in the film that is against Islam? There is no allegation against a religion, but only against the organization ISIS.”
Raising concerns over the modus operandi of the protestors, the BJP Vice-President said that such resistance to a movie when it is not against any religion ‘make us wonder about the motives of the petitioners’.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “The Kerala Story is based on a terror conspiracy. It shows the ugly truth of terrorism and exposes terrorists' design.”
Taking a dig at the Congress during a public address at Ballari in Karnataka, PM Modi said that the grand old party is opposing the film made on terrorism and standing with terror tendencies for vote bank.
“I am surprised to see that Congress has succumbed to terrorism for the sake of its vote bank. Can such a party ever save Karnataka? In the atmosphere of terror, the industry, IT industry, agriculture, farming and glorious culture here will be destroyed,” said the Prime Minister.
