Berhampur: A mother of two children was beaten to death allegedly by her husband for more dowry at Biritola in Ganjam district, police said.

Police recovered the body of Jyostna Gouda (24), with a five-year-old son and three-year-old daughter, from the house and detained her husband Babula Gouda on Thursday.

Jyotsna, daughter of Shyama Gouda of Chakatentuli village, returned to her husband`s house on Thursday after staying for four months at her father`s house. She had gone to her father`s house when her husband allegedly beat her up demanding more dowry.
