Like a scene out of a Bollywood movie, a woman got her husband married off to a transgender after learning about his affair with the epicene. Interestingly, the couple was married for five years and have a child together.
However, the woman decided to let go her husband after learning about his affair. The incident reported from Dhurkuti village under Narla block in Kalahandi district has become the talk of the town and grabbed eyeballs.
According to sources, Fakir Nial was married for five years. However, he had secretly developed a relationship with the transgender Sangeeta. After learning about the affair, Fakir’s wife decided to do the unthinkable.
After convincing family members, she approached Sangeeta and other transgenders to share her thoughts. Later, she brought Sangeeta to her home and made her marry her husband in the presence of the members of the transgender community.
It is unclear if Fakir will stay with both of them or the couple will go separate ways. However, the decision of the woman has been hailed by one and all.
“I was in love with Fakir. After coming to know about our love, the elder sister(Fakir’s first wife) also accepted me. She agreed to the marriage and I also wanted to marry him. This is so touching for me as no men or women treat transgenders with respect. They treat us like unwanted. But, I’m happy now,” said transgender Sangeeta after the marriage.
