The Ministry of Railways has permitted to extend the validity of the season tickets which expired during the lockdown.

The East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Monday said that the validity of the season tickets has been extended to the extent of days lost on restoration of train services for different categories of passengers.

“In view of this, the validity period for the lapse days during the lockdown has been extended w.e.f December 10, 2021,” the ECoR tweeted.

The ECoR further stated that this has been incorporated in the system for extension of validity of season tickets expired during the lockdown.

In another development, the ECoR today said that there will be regular service of Puri-Angul special from January 16, 2022. As per sources, the 08428/08427 Puri-Angul-Puri Special from Puri will start from January 1 and from Angul from January 17, 2022 till further advice.
