Jajpur: An under-construction bridge on the National Highway-16 near Brajrajnagar in Panikoili collapsed on Monday. However, no loss of life was reported in the mishap.
As the construction work was not underway at the site, nobody was working near the bridge, saving several lives, said a local.
Meanwhile, the vehicular movement on the route remained unaffected because of an existing bypass road.
