The Odisha Legislative Assembly issued a notification regarding the Rajya Sabha by-election on Thursday. .
As per the notification, the filing of nomination will begin today and continue till June 2. The scrutinisation of nominations will be held on June 3 while the polling will be held on June 13.
“The nomination papers will be taken up for scrutiny at 11.30 am on the 3rd June, 2022 (Friday) at the conference hall of Odisha Legislative Assembly buildings in Bhubaneswar,” the notification read.
“Notice of withdrawal of candidature may be delivered either by a candidate or by any of his proposers or by his election agent who has been authorised in writing by the candidate to deliver it to the officers at their office before 3 pm on June 6, 2022 (Monday),” the notification further read adding that in the event of the election being contested, the polls will be conducted on 13 June, 2022 (Monday) between 9am to 4 pm in the committee room no. 54 of the Odisha Legislative Assembly Secretariat buildings in Bhubaneswar.
