President Ram Nath Kovind To Stay In Raj Bhawan During 2-Day Visit To Puri

Kovind will stay in Puri Raj Bhawan during his visit and not in the Governor’s House which was previously scheduled as per the protocol

The Puri Srimandir will be out of bounds for common visitors from 4 pm to 6 pm on Saturday as President Ram Nath Kovind will be visiting the shrine during the period.

The President will be on a two-day visit to the pilgrim town, starting Saturday. After reaching Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar at around 2:45 pm, he will fly to Puri to offer prayers at the shrine. 

Kovind will stay in Puri Raj Bhawan during his visit and not in the Governor’s House which was previously scheduled as per the protocol.

The next day morning, he will visit Gaudiya Mutt before attending a programme commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Srimad Bhaktisidhanta Saraswati Goswami Maharaj. 

As per the Blue Book, necessary security arrangements have been taken and will be in place during the period the President will stay in the pilgrim city. For this, as many as 40 officials and around 200 officers have been engaged.

This will be the President’s third visit to Puri. Last time, he along with his wife Savita Kovind, had paid a visit to Odisha in March 2021.
